Digital Workforce Development

PathMakers is our response to rural youth unemployment. This program identifies, trains, and certifies out-of-school youth — many of them unemployed — as facilitators in our digital learning programs. Through digital upskilling, mentorship, and real classroom experience, they gain the tools and confidence to teach others, earn income, and step into the digital economy.

Many of our programs are free for participants, thanks to the generous support of our donors and partners. Some specialized programs may have nominal fees, but we offer scholarships to ensure that financial constraints don't prevent any student from participating.

Yes, we work directly with schools to implement coding clubs and provide teacher training programs. We also offer curriculum resources and professional development for educators interested in incorporating technology education into their classrooms.

We welcome volunteers and mentors from various backgrounds, especially those with technology experience. Visit our Get Involved page to learn about current opportunities and fill out our volunteer/mentor application form.

We operate within South Africa and Zambia. Our programs are offered in person at partner schools and community centers, while others are available online. Check specific program details for location information.
